Broxbourne, Hertfordshire - 2018
During the site visit the client mentioned it was important to them to be able to enjoy their outdoor space at night, but also to allow their children to safely play outside even when the days get shorter.
The treehouse is also a sweet feature they wanted to illuminate and it added a special touch to the overall feel of the garden.
Having their kitchen and living room looking outside into the garden through large windows made the lighting particularly important for them as, until then, all they could see was darkness and the reflection of the interior.
Lighting the garden made their house feel more spacious and most importantly safe as they could finally see beyond their windows.
The front garden was also included in the design as it was difficult to enter the property and park but also to make it easier for guests to find the house as it is located on a countryside road.
