About this project
This residential garden lighting scheme in Oxshott, Surrey dates from 2019 and covers a medium to large garden. It is a lighting design built around trees, water and paving, planned to be enjoyed after dark.
The garden has a rose walk, lawns, a greenhouse and a tiered fountain, and the lighting links these areas so the garden reads as one space in the evening.
The lighting
- A rose garden walk, with uplit multi stem trees leading the eye to a softly lit fountain at dusk.
- Uplit trees and flush ground lights along a herringbone brick path that runs through the lawn.
- A glass greenhouse glowing warmly at dusk, with an uplit brick seating area and herringbone paving beside it.
- A wall lantern and a floodlit statue next to an uplit multi stem tree, by a glass fronted building.
- A tiered fountain and pond with underwater lighting, the cascades glowing beside a curved brick path.
Fittings and controls
We specified low voltage Hunza Lighting and LuxR fittings. Hunza is a New Zealand brand known for long lasting fittings that can be maintained. The whole scheme is controlled with Light Symphony.
