Every project is bespoke and personal to you
Every garden design is unique and each scheme is created to enhance one of the most important ‘rooms’ in your home. Once we have established a concept of what the garden should look like, we provide a detailed quotation and, if required, we can also plot the design on a garden plan and/or provide 3D visualisations.

Meet the experts
David Haslehurst
Managing Director
David is the founder of Moonlight Design starting it in 2003. With over 30 years’ experience as a horticulturist and lighting designer, David combines his skills to create exciting yet practical lighting schemes for private and corporate clients, garden designers and landscape architects.
Philip Jackson
Technical Director
One of the UK’s top lighting specialists, Phil has worked in the trade for more than 30 years. He gained his experience as a lighting installer while working for celebrated lighting expert Peter Burian. Phil is in charge of the installations making sure that all of our work is the high quality we strive for.
Alissa Fiordelmondo
Senior Lighting Designer
Alissa is our head lighting designer and has been working for Moonlight Design since 2018. She graduated as a lighting designer from the Accademia di Belle Arti of Macerata (Italy). She takes care of the visual side of the business from lighting visuals and 3D renders to the company brochure and our innovating, evolving office displays.
Laurie Haslehurst
Projects Manager
Laurie has worked at Moonlight Design since he was 15 where he started his work experience. Over the last 7 years, he was mostly working with the installation team but since achieving his degree, he has moved into the office to coordinate the projects.
Thomas Goss
Electrician
Thomas was Moonlight’s first apprentice and joined the company after he left school in September 2017, having successfully gained 3 A-Levels. After a brief spell of helping out on a project we realised his potential and bought him into the installation team.
Fionnuala Larkin
Office Manager & Technical Support
Fionnuala is the longest member of staff working for Moonlight Design for over 15 years. After she left school she started at Marks & Spencer dealing with suppliers and distribution to their network of stores. Now, Fionnuala is the office manager with exceptional technical knowledge of lighting and controls.
Lesley Spalding
Accounts Manager
Lesley has been working with Moonlight Design for 13 years as the Accounts Manager, doing the usual money in, money out tasks you would expect in accounts. She is extemely hardworking and has a great eye for detail.
Woody
Head of Barketing
Woody is a 2 year old cockapoo and at times he is most certainly head of barketing! He's a fun dog who keeps the office in good spirits.

We work in an industry where the environment is a constant reminder of how we can make a difference. Offsetting our CO2 and recycling is a key priority and something we are proud to promote. Backing young talent
Lucy Charles-Barclay
In 2015 we became the first sponsors of Lucy and Reece Charles-Barclay. We could see the amazing talent that these two triathletes had, even though nobody would back them. Since then, they have both become Professional triathletes and in Lucy’s case, number 1 in the world after winning the World Championship in 2023, and holds the current swim and bike record in Kona, Hawaii.
Reece Charles-Barclay
Reece has 3 Ironman World Championship Kona qualifications to his name along with being Lucy’s full-time coach. He also represented England in Swimming, a black belt in Karate and if he's not already too busy, a personal trainer. We believe in helping young talent to help achieve their dreams into reality.
We are passionate about the environment
We work in an industry where the environment is apparent all the time. Lighting requires power and of course, when we produce light this can result in light pollution. We care deeply about the environment and are committed to environmentally friendly lighting design and using recyclable products.
We are proud to announce that we are supporters of Gone West, who are a tree planting company and have planted over four million trees since they started in 2013. We are committed to offset our annual CO2 footprint by buying the equivalent in trees to be planted around the UK.
We are members of Recolight which is an award-winning recycling compliance organisation who promote the recycling of old light fittings and their components to stop them going into landfills. It’s important in today’s throwaway society that we do all we can to recycle our waste.
