We presented our lighting design for a three bedroom penthouse flat in Clerkenwell, London, in July 2026.
The clients wanted to rethink the lighting for the whole flat, with a particular focus on their artwork and their collection of coloured glass. Both depend on light that shows colour truthfully, so a high CRI (colour rendering index) was a priority. We specified Orluna for its excellent CRI, which lets the artwork and the glass show their real colours.

Alongside Orluna, we specified decorative and architectural lighting from LEDS C4, Flos, Davide Groppi, Curiousa, Schwung, Tooy, Ilti Luce, Foscarini and Louis Poulsen.
The clients were not looking to change the layout, so the scheme had to be installed with as little damage as possible. We worked from the existing lighting points wherever we could.
We also modelled the glass shelving. We built the bookshelf in SketchUp, calculated the lighting in DIALux and rendered it in V-Ray, so we could see how the glass would look when lit.

We design lighting for homes, gardens and commercial projects across the UK and overseas. If you want your artwork or a collection shown at its best, get in touch with our design team.
